When you rent a car on GoMore, a rental deposit may be required along with your booking. This deposit is to ensure the payment of any potential additional costs such as fines, deductibles, etc. Here is a comprehensive guide to understanding how the rental deposit works on GoMore.
Deposit requirement: When you book a car, if a deposit is required, the amount will be clearly displayed during the booking process.
Deposit charge: The deposit is charged when the booking is accepted.
The deposit secures against:
Traffic fines: Costs incurred from traffic violations during the rental period.
Deductibles: Any applicable deductibles in case of damage.
Other fees: Any other extra costs that may arise during the rental.
Variable size: The size of the deposit can vary depending on the type of car, the duration of the booking, the renter’s age, and specific details of the booking.
Visibility: The amount of the deposit will always be clearly indicated during the booking process for full transparency.
Automatic refund: The deposit, after deducting any additional charges from the rental, will be automatically refunded to your payment card 4 days after the rental ends. Please note that it may take an additional 1-3 business days for your bank to process the refund and for the funds to appear in your account.
Bank processing time: Please note that your bank might require additional processing time to display the released deposit on your account. GoMore cannot speed up this process.
Exceeding costs: If the extra costs exceed the amount of the deposit, we retain the deposit and charge the additional amount on your payment card.
Immediate release: If the rental is cancelled, the deposit is immediately released.
Release date info: You can find the date of the deposit release on the rental overview in the app or on our website.
